Starting your journey from Kigali city means driving for 4-5 hours to Bwindi to engage in a gorilla trekking experience rather than 8-9 hours if you started your road trip from Kampala/Entebbe.

Day 1: Visit Kigali genocide memorial on a city tour & depart for Bwindi
Begin the special day with a hefty breakfast and you will meet our company representative at the hotel. From the hotel in Kigali, you will set off for a short 2 –hour city excursion in Kigali capital and target area to explore will be Kigali genocide memorial site. Depending on the time, other multiple sites will also be visited and you set off to Bwindi connecting via Katuna/Cyanika border crossing between Uganda and Rwanda.
Enjoy the scenic countryside from both Rwanda and Uganda. Connect to the lodge while viewing the vast plantations and rolling hills. On getting to the park, you will check in at the pre-booked accommodation, enjoy a leisurely diner and use the evening to organize everything you will need the following day.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest & drive back to Kigali
Enjoy a delicious breakfast and after, you will join the rest of guests for briefing at the respective trailheads/sectors. The park official will be assigning you a family of gorillas to visit and park guides to take lead on actual trek with these apes. After spending between 2 and 6 hours, a special 1 hour will be availed mainly for you to enjoy great moment with a family of these unique apes.
It is during this one hour when you will take as many pictures as possible. After interaction with a family of massive mountain gorillas, your guide will again accompany you on a trek back to the briefing areas and later to your lodge. Check out from your accommodation facility and start driving back to Kigali with an experienced guide behind the wheel.
From Kigali, you will either proceed to the previous hotel property or go straight to Kigali International Airport (KGL) for departure. Today will mark the end of the special 2-day gorilla trip in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Uganda.
