The 2 Days Gorilla Tour Rwanda includes 1 night and 2 days of exploring Volcanoes National Park (VNP) Ruhengeri. At Volcanoes National Park, you will enjoy the best of gorilla trekking experience with a professional park guide. The park was established in 1925 and spans within the Virunga region, Northwestern Rwanda.
The park is home to over 12 fully habituated families of mountain gorillas and each of them are visited by maximum of 8 guests per day. Volcanoes NP extends up to 160sq.km and houses 5 of the 8 Virunga Volcanoes. Besides, the park also protects variety of faunal species apart from mountain gorillas and they include bushbucks, spotted hyenas, giant forest hogs, elephants, black-fronted duikers, and more 200 species of birds.

Day 1: City excursion in Kigali & drive off to Volcanoes National Park Musanze
Meet an experienced guide in Kigali and set off from the hotel for 2-hour Kigali city tour. This includes visiting the historical sites like Kigali genocide war memorial centre and while here, get to unearth in depth more about the terrific 1994 Rwandan genocide. You will also visit several other sites and markets then head off to Volcanoes National Park Ruhengeri. Enjoy a leisurely dinner and a night stay.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking Musanze & depart
Get up early morning, enjoy a heavy breakfast and after, leave the lodge for briefing at Kinigi offices. Learn more about the different gorilla trekking regulations and after the park official will allocate you gorilla groups to visit in Rwanda’s Volcanoes N. Park Musanze.
The actual trek with Rwanda gorillas starts from Kinigi at 8:00am and this includes 2-6 hours of navigating via the forest, valleys and varying elevations. The 2-6 hours trek covers an hour for up close and personal encounter with a family of Rwanda gorillas.
Once you have finished enjoying a close encounter with gorillas, you will get back to the briefing area or direct to the lodge to check out. After check out, begin your return journey back to Kigali and today marks the end of 2 days gorilla tour Rwanda.
